Free option: No permanent free tier. Access to everything Dagster+ offers is free for 30 days, after which a plan is required.

How the vendor frames its pricing

Before you sign: what actually moves the price

  1. Estimate credits from pipeline frequency, not from data size. Every asset materialisation and every op execution counts as one credit regardless of how much data moves.
  2. Three users is the Starter cap. A fourth seat forces either Pro or a second Solo subscription, so count the team before choosing.
  3. If you already run Kubernetes or ECS, choose hybrid: serverless compute at $0.010 per minute is the largest variable cost for a busy schedule.
  4. The credit rate improves by only $0.005 between Solo and Starter. Unless you clear roughly 18,000 credits a month, the $90 platform-fee increase is not repaid by the rate difference.
  5. There is no self-enrolment discount for nonprofits, which the FAQ states directly; a Pro plan is the only route for a discounted structure.
